She loves me, she loves me not
I'm still buying everything she has for me
every story and every lie
she needs me like the horse needs the rider
I don't need surprises
my pain just amuses her
And when she goes to work
she takes the stupid things I've said
the idiotic things I've ever done
the lamest letters she has read
and my beating heart is aching
my worried mind is stating
that something's weird and wrong
about the way she treats me
She calls me, she calls me by name
now she's not ashamed of being near me
or my growing imagination
she feeds me like the sun feeds the earth
and on it's way just fades to black into the night
And when she goes to sleep
she dreams about my tears
recalls the days I spent with her
recalls the nights I took her breath
and my beating heart's still aching
my body keeps on shaking
there's something weird and wrong
about the way she treats me
